Bringing Service Back to Hosting
Emil Sayegh joined Hostway as president and CEO in September 2016. Prior to Hostway, Emil was the chairman of the board, CEO, and president of Codero Hosting. Emil also led and expanded cloud computing and hosting businesses for HP and Rackspace.
As vice president and general manager of the cloud computing division at Rackspace, Emil spearheaded the company’s entry into the emerging public cloud market and rapidly grew the business to more than 100,000 clients. Emil also oversaw the global product roadmap at Rackspace and led the successful launch of private cloud and hosted exchange services.
In addition to his leadership roles, Emil spent more than 15 years in the IT industry developing, marketing, and managing products for Dell, RLX Technologies, and Compaq.
Emil is an avid Texas Longhorns fan and holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering and a master’s degree in business from the University of Texas at Austin. Emil also holds nine patents.
Emil is based in Austin, Texas, where he lives with his wife and four children. He’s an active outdoorsman who especially loves skiing, hunting, fishing, gardening, and traveling. You can also find him reading his favorite business classics like Good To Great, Built to Last, The 7 Habits, and Made to Stick.
John Faulkner joined Hostway in August 2016 with over 25 years of technology finance experience. Prior to joining Hostway, he served as CFO for PeopleAdmin, Inc., a provider of SaaS-based talent management solutions to educational institutions. He also served as CFO of Layered Technologies, Inc, (acquired by Datapipe) and as vice president of finance for Level3 and Broadwing, prior to its acquisition by Level3. His experience across these roles includes multiple acquisitions, financing transactions, strategic cost reduction programs, and system implementations as well as responsibility for finance, accounting, human resources, and legal functions.
He began his career in Austin, Texas with Ernst & Young and has held finance leadership positions in several other companies, including Dell, where he worked in their treasury group in both the US and UK.
Faulkner earned his BBA from Texas Tech University and subsequently earned his CPA and CMA. He resides in Austin, Texas with his wife.
John Enright joined Hostway in late 2014 to head up the Web and Application Services business division, bringing more than 20 years of hosting industry leadership experience to the role. A visionary in the hosting space, Enright founded one of the first North American hosting companies, ValueWeb, in 1994, increasing revenue to more than $20 million before the company merged with Affinity Internet.
At Affinity, Enright led successful product and portfolio diversification projects and brought on key strategic partners, growing channel revenue from 10% to 40% of total revenue. Prior to joining Hostway, Enright was the Chief Operating Officer of LimeLabs, a global Internet incubator, and most recently served as President of HostMySite, the small business division of Hosting.com.
Natasha Gordon joined Hostway in November 2008, and has led the human resources and corporate administration functions since 2012. Prior to Hostway, Natasha worked in the new media industry at Threewave Software, a video game development company, and Coast Capital Savings, the largest credit union in Canada, where she held positions in human resources, financial services and accounting. She has also provided human resources consulting services to a variety of start-up and small- to mid-size technology companies.
Gordon has over a decade of experience volunteering with community and professional associations. She is highly involved with the HR technology community and most recently sat on the steering committee for the HR Tech Group in British Columbia for over six years.
Gordon is a Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) and earned her BA from the University of British Columbia. She and her family currently reside in Vancouver, BC.
Jay Bridges joined Hostway in February 2017 with over 18 years of technical customer service and product experience. Prior to joining Hostway, he held multiple leadership positions in support, operations and product management delivering services for a vast array of customer segments, and multiple technologies-VMware, AWS, Azure, Linux, Microsoft and OpenStack at Rackspace.
Since April 2014, Bridges has sat on the Industrial Advisory Board for the School of Engineering and Computing Sciences at Texas A&M.
Based in San Antonio, Texas, Bridges lives with his wife and 5 children. He is an active parent running his girls to and from basketball, dance, ballet, soccer, choir, piano and trumpet lessons.
Charles Charmatz joined Hostway in 2003. His roots in telecommunications and connected computing run deep, beginning in 1983 with multiuser multi-line bulletin boards, the precursors to the modern Internet. His first commercial endeavor, City-Guide, became a successful dial-up ISP. He was a pioneer at the leading edge of streaming online multimedia and developed techniques and infrastructure for real-time audio and video on the web. The expertise he gained in efficient, high-capacity content delivery was used to create ENI, a virtual and dedicated hosting provider, which became renowned for its innovative, scalable solutions. His areas of interest have since grown to include virtualization and network security.
At Hostway, Charles has assembled and leads the technical teams that ensure Hostway is foremost in performance and reliability. His wide breadth of expertise and leadership have proven invaluable for anticipating computing trends and evolving the company’s infrastructure to meet customers’ needs.
Charles is based in Tampa, Florida, where he lives with his wife and daughter. He is active in the outdoors with diving, hunting, and camping but still loves a good sci-fi movie.
