Hostway has made a number of key executive moves over the last year, and these two new executives further strengthen Hostway’s leadership roster, bringing nearly five decades of combined deep experience in high-level, high-reliability network operations and agile communications strategy to the team. The company welcomed David Newton to the role of Vice President, Service Operations and Eric Milhizer as Vice President, Marketing.

A network operations specialist, Newton spent the last 11 years with Terremark/Verizon, where he led both operations and governance & compliance, serving in executive roles overseeing virtual and cloud platform offerings, shared service, OSS and administration, and global infrastructure engineering. Newton’s background in operations, product development and customer service make him uniquely qualified to ensure Hostway customers enjoy the world-class “five 9s” reliability, service and support they deserve. Newton will focus on 24/7 NOC operations, product delivery and reliability, and support personnel excellence.
Milhizer is a target marketing expert, with more than 20 years of proven-effective marketing strategy and expertise under his belt in the highly-competitive mobile and networking industries. Driven to get the right message to the right audience, Milhizer will focus on reaching the right customers with the right solutions and benefits Hostway can deliver at scale. Previously as CMO at TruConnect, one of the nation’s fastest-growing mobile virtual network operators, he spearheaded a complete rebranding of the company. Prior to that, while serving as VP, Direct to Consumer Marketing at MetroPCS, he was responsible for driving revenue through the company’s mass-scale, targeted direct marketing.
