Patrick Emerson joined Hostway in June of 2018. As SVP of Sales, he leads Hostway’s field sales and channels organizations. His focus is on driving Hostway revenue growth globally—both directly and through partners.
With over 30 years of sales, business development, and channels experience at public and pre-IPO companies, Pat is a seasoned leader who has built high-performing organizations across both vertical markets and geographies.
Pat joined Hostway after running Worldwide Sales and Channels for Zenoss, where he led the sales team to record results, while tripling the business Zenoss did with and through channel partners. Prior to that, Pat had worldwide responsibility for EMC’s Global Systems Integrator partners and Americas channels partners, which transacted more than 65% of EMC’s business. Pat previously ran Strategic Business Development and OEM sales for EMC.
Prior to EMC, Pat was the first Vice President of Sales and Business Development for Troux Technologies (acquired by Planview). He built the sales and channels organizations that grew Troux from $0 to more than $15 million in revenue prior to leaving in 2006.
Pat moved to Austin, Texas in 2000 to join Question Technologies, building and leading the sales and business development organizations, before it was sold to Motive Communications in 2001. Earlier in his career, Pat held sales and business development leadership roles at DataBeam (acquired by Lotus Development), Octel Communications (acquired by Lucent), and Software Publishing Corporation.
Pat has lived in Texas with his wife and two children (Jacqueline, 22, and Jay, 20) since 2000. He enjoys boating on Lake Travis, working out, golf, the music of Frank Sinatra, great Italian food, the Jersey Shore, and trying to keep up with his children.
