Linking back to the main page of your Web site is a good idea. But you should also link back to the account page of your customer, or perhaps the FAQ section as this is often required by new customers. Being helpful and welcoming is the secret to a long term relationship that starts on the right foot.
Finally, be sure you send your welcome email immediately after a successful purchase has been made. The purchase will be fresh in the customer’s mind, so reaching out and thanking them straightaway will help to cement a positive image of your business to carry forward into future sales.
